Even before inception, we wanted to build a product based company, not just a service-oriented company. Earning money was never the core purpose; building respect has always been, and will always be at our core.
2002 – Started FWT as a contract manufacturing company, developing friction welded components for diverse sectors
2007 – Refurbished an old friction welding machine, by breaking it down to the last element, and reconstructing it, loaded with the latest technology
2010 – Manufactured the first friction welding machine right from the scratch
2017 – Launched SPARTAN, in partnership with MTI, for the International Market
We do both – Manufacturing and Services, but Manufacturing is always at the core
Notes: India has always been recognised as a Services based country. Whereas, I am proud of it, I wanted to develop a product that will be recognised internationally. Since Inception I had a dream to build FWT as a product-based company and make India proud.
THINK SUSTAINABLE
Achieving quicker break-even was not our target; implementing the right strategy for sustainable growth was. We did not invest ourselves in one industry or a client. We worked across diverse industries. Downturn in one industry did not bother us.

2017 – Partnership with MTI, only when we had established technical expertise and credibility, and had the strength to collaboratively set the terms.
Notes: We invested our efforts across diverse industries, and not one industry or one client, even though we could have earned a lot of money from the booming sectors. Our focus has always been implementing a long-term strategy. It was never about achieving a quicker break-even, which is short-term. It can make you deviate from your core purpose i.e. why you started the company. Faith in our strategy kept us going.
BE PATRIOTIC about your brand
Chasing sales is not the key; attracting the right clients is. We have pledged to never compromise on technology, standards and features, right from day one. We are known to set quality benchmarks. In aggressive conditions, we can lower our margins but not the product quality, features or technology. This is our brand promise.
We are not here to build just a machine; we are here to build a brand.

Your Core Values, Core Purpose, Mission and Vision form your lighthouse. The more the adverse situation, the more relevant they become. Know your DNA. They are not meant to be just hanging on your walls. They are meant to be lived in every breath you take. We never created our core values; they were always there; we only identified them and lived by them.
2002 – 2018 – No compromise on integrity; We were never tempted to earn or pay unaccountable money to make things easier.
2017 – With MTI, our first point of discussion was that we won’t compromise on Core Ideologies. This helped us establish trust within the relationship.
Notes: We are strong advocates of No Corruption policy. It’s printed on our cards and our hearts to neither entertain nor encourage Corruption.

MTI trusts us so much that they encourage us to directly deal with client enquiries from various countries, such as Brazil, Italy, etc.
BE BOLD, BE COURAGEOUS, BE AN INNOVATOR
Just because it has not been done, doesn’t mean it can’t be done. Trust yourself, your capabilities and your team, and try the impossible. Even if the world says it’s impossible, dare to break the conventional belief. That’s when you truly grow beyond yourself and build respect.
- BrahMos is short range ramjet supersonic cruise missiles that can be launched from submarines, ships, aircraft or land. The client needed bimetallic adapters of varying sizes and geometries. The world leaders with more than 100 years of experience in the industry claimed that manufacturing such varied components would require two machines.
- We trusted our technical expertise and built FWT 50 that redefined possibilities by breaking conventional belief.
- FWT 50 – One of the most efficient machines capable of delivering a variety of friction welding components and weld joints that require highest levels of accuracy, quality and strength on a single machine.
- This innovation helped DRDO to manufacture BrahMos 100% indigenously, with zero dependencies on the foreign countries.
INVEST IN PEOPLE
Investment in people is our responsibility. Don’t spend, but invest in people. And investment can never be in the liability column. Intention should never be to gain something out of this investment. It may be the by-product but never the sole purpose. This creates positivity within the organization. It builds a culture of “contributing value towards the organization”.

BE SOCIALLY RESPONSIBLE
Be actively involved in activities that build a better society, with the intention to spread compassion.
- Educate the Girl Child – a mission to contribute towards educating girl child of blue-collar employees, even after the employee leaves the organization.
- This contribution towards education also includes pursuing hobbies or non-vocational courses.
- Visit schools, take feedback from teachers, conduct half-yearly review, work on their overall development
- Donated 1 day’s salary towards resolution of water crises in Marathwada region of Maharashtra
- Conducted several expeditions around the world to promote the spirit of entrepreneurship – encouraging youth to take up entrepreneurship as a career, spreading the message of one world, one religion – Humanity.
